The Kounter Klan, formed by Frank W. Boykin (1865-1969) in 1924, consisted of blacks, Jews, Catholics and a few protestants and minorities who retaliated against the KKK. Frank went on to become a Congressman in Alabama for 28 years and purchased 800 green robes to outfit the volunteers.

This book embraces the side of Frank's life that people never knew about, including witnessing the warrior Chief Geronimo in shackles and socializing with presidents such as FDR, Truman, Eisenhower, and Kennedy, to name a few. Frank was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Grace Boykin is a native of Mobile, Alabama, she moved to Clearwater, Florida. She received a B.A. degree in Social Science and Secondary Education from Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida. She studied Art in Europe with Spring Hill College, Mobile, Alabama. She made her debut in Mobile and was a member of the Mardi Gras Court. For several years, she was Employed at Walt Disney World, for several years and resided in Orlando, Florida. She taught Geography at Dunedin Junior High School and taught History in several schools throughout Melbourne, Florida. She Tutored Braille and worked with the Blind at the Florida School of Deaf and Blind for four years in St. Augustine, Fl. Also, she taught and created a Mass Media Curriculum for High School students and Directed the High school play "To Serve a Higher King", in Palm Bay, Florida. She was an active member of the Clearwater/Tampa Bay Chapter of the National Society of Arts and Letters and served as President, Chairman of "Career Award Luncheon,", Program Chairman, and member of the Board. As longtime member of the Clearwater Chapter DAR, she served as a Scholarship and Junior Membership Chairman, and as a Personal Page to the Florida State Regent, National Page at the Eighty-Fifth Continental Congress in Washington, D.C. a DAR Chaplain, and Clearwater Chapter, Children of the American Revolution, Co-President. She was a Past member of the Clearwater/ St. Petersburg. Chapter, National Wild Turkey Federation, Ducks Unlimited, and Tampa Bay Area Safari Club. Boykin was also a Charter President of the Ladies' group of Rotary International started in England and Ireland. International Inner Wheel, Melbourne, Florida. She is a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International. She held a licensed Real Estate Salesperson License, with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation. In Mobile, Alabama, she is a Co-owner and Vice President of Tensaw Land & Timber Company and, former Board of Director and served as a trustee. Boykin has Traveled to all the states, including Hawaii and Alaska, and twenty-five countries and many more than once. She has published works of Poetry and Author of other books as well as the fiction books "The Southern Hunt", "Deaf, Blind, and Tragedy", Non-fiction self-help historical book "A Turbulent Life ? ? ?" which is based on the story of Grace Boykin and relatives. Several Producers are interested in it. The life of Frank W. Boykin, also, an Autobiography called "South Of The Hill, which is" copyrighted but unpublished, about Political Years of Frank W. Boykin as a U.S, Congressman for twenty-eight years, 1930's-1960's. The Self-help book and Autobiography of Grace Boykin is called "A Turbulent Life. ? ? ?" could be made a documentary with the life of Frank W Boykin. (336 pages) could also be written as a screen play for other producers. I lived a long-blessed, thrilling life with my two children living nearby currently and blessing me every day with their children, spouses, and wonderful families of their own. My oldest son of my three children is in Heaven from having three different types of brain cancer. His story is currently being written "Miracle in the Making." Grace Boykin is resident of Milton, Florida along the panhandle of Florida after traveling and driving all the states on backroads when possible. Visited 25 national parks, 25 countries including Bahama's, Jamaica, Japan, China, Iceland, Greenland and many European Countries. Her passion is carrying a camera in hand to make the next great movie.
