The pen name used by Tempest Ariel taken from sprite or "airy spirit" in Shakespeare's The Tempest. Ariel also means a female lion, "lioness of God," of Jerusalem symbolically.

The Spirit of Poetry author is of American Indian ancestry. She is a Catholic convert, as the first American Indian Saint, beloved Kateri Tekakwitha-the Lily of Mohawk.

The Tempest Ariel has written inspirational poetry and prose many years for family and friends. Writer shares a gift given from Jesus, for glory of the Beloved and His kingdom.
