Eine Geschichte über (Stief-)schwestern. Das hält sicherlich einiges an Drama parat. Und so war es auch. Viele Klischees und Vorurteile, besonders gegenüber der Stiefmutter, wurden erfüllt. Ich muss aber sagen, dass jeder Charakter in diesem Buch einen an der Waffel hat. Bitte sagt mir, dass kein normaler Mensch sich so verhält, denn ich kann es einfach nicht glauben.
Daisy: Daisy verhält sich wie eine Heilige. Und das fand ich am Anfang auch okay, aber am Ende des Buches ist es einfach nur noch lächerlich. Ihr Mann ist ein absolutes Arschloch, und das von heute auf morgen und über mehrere Wochen hinweg. Wer lässt sich das bitte gefallen? Auch das Einmischen ihres Vaters ist absolut unangemessen. Vor allem nachdem er weiß wie scheiße die „Schwestern“ zu Daisy waren. Daisy lässt auf sich herumtrampeln, nur um von wirklich ALLEN gemocht zu werden.
Esmeralda: Kurz und knapp ist sie einge gute Seele. Aber eine eigene Meinung hat sie eigentlich nicht. Was findet Daisy gut? Ja, dann findet sie es auch gut..
Daisy´s Vater: Nervig und das von Beginn an. Er heiratete eine unmögliche Frau. Keiner kann mir erzählen, dass er ihre Gier und ihr ekelhaftes Verhalten nie zuvor bemerkt hat. Man heiratet doch nicht einfach so. Und dann will er auf „Happy Family“ machen.. Mischt sich ständig ein und weiß alles besser. Nein, einfach nein.
Jordan: Ein vollkommenes Arschloch mit immensen Selbstzweifeln. Diese lässt er an Daisy aus, und indirekt auch an seinen Kindern. Er schafft Probleme, bemitleidet sich, fühlt sich nicht als Mann.. verhält sich aber gleichzeitig wie ein kleines Kind. Ich fand sein Verhalten von Anfang an nervig, grauenhaft und unnötig. Als wolle man der Geschichte Drama verleihen. Als würde er Drama suchen. Immer wieder betonte er, dass er sich nicht gebraucht und geliebt fühlt.. Und dann küsst er Sage, die Stiefschwester seiner Frau, und schläft sogar mit ihr. Beichten wollte er es ohnehin nicht. Er fühlt sich eher wie ein ganz großer Macker und textet Sage danach wieder. Wahrscheinlich hat er gemerkt, dass er nun ganz alleine dasteht. Was für ein Idiot.
Cassidy: Sie ist undankbar, verzogen und unreif. Sie verhält sich nicht wie eine junge Frau in ihren 20ern, sondern wie ein motziges Kleinkind. Sie darf bei Daisy wohnen, obwohl sie zu dieser unmöglich war. Ja, sie war damals noch ein Kind und wurde stark beeinflusst von ihrer Mutter und abhängig von Sage. Aber das ist lange her. Irgendwann muss man sich ändern. Ihr Verhalten gegenüber ihrem liebevollen (Ex-)Freund ist kindisch und extrem verletztend. Ich an seiner Stelle würde sie nicht zurückwollen.
Sage´s und Cassidy´s Mutter: Schrecklich, geldgeil und herzlos. Wenn sie nicht so ekelhaft wäre, dann könnte man beinahe Mitleid haben. Schreckliche Mutter und egoistisch gegenüber allem und jedem.
Sage: Ohne Worte. Unddankbar, egoistisch und vertrauensunwürdig. Sie ist auch mit Schuld am Betrug gegenüber Daisy. Doch sie wird wieder ins Haus gelassen. Sie war schon immer schrecklich, weshalb ich ohnehin nicht verstehen konnte wie sich alle innerhalb von wenigen Wochen plötzlich lieben und schätzen.. Naja, Sage schätzt niemand. Sie betrügt Daisy, Adam und sich selbst. Sie scheint immer noch das dumme Teenagermädchen zu sein. Doch anstatt aus ihren Fehlern zu lernen wird sie noch belohnt. „Komm in mein Haus ich richte dir alles ein und wir leben zusammen glücklich.“ - Daisy… So ein Schwachsinn. Wer macht so etwas? Wer lässt sich das gefallen? Schrecklich, einfach nur schrecklich.
