The renaissance of fine art in Europe is attributed to the interest in studying its effects from the Greek and Roman civilizations, but the successive wave of life soon stripped the production of art - since the seventeenth century - of its effects from superficiality, so that it became a stroke of stereotyping, without understanding its human goals or delving into its latent essence. Thus, art turned into a decorative activity that responded to the tastes of a society conflicted by contingent factors, and the rule of the individual and the power of the class were among those factors that turned art from Its characteristic is as a human activity and as a message stemming from a belief to a craft based solely on practical experience, begging for money and those in power in order to live. Anyone who follows the footsteps of modern art since the beginning of the twentieth century loses his way between its intertwined currents, and there is no better way, in the author's opinion, to understand their motives than to return to art itself and the extent to which it is affected by the social factors that prevail in every era, and its submission to the imperatives of historical development.
