Bruce Durie founded and ran the postgraduate genealogical studies program at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, and now teaches mainly for the University of Edinburgh. He is the host of the long-running BBC Radio series 'Digging Up Your Roots, ' and is the author of Bloody Scottish History: Glasgow, Documents for Genealogy and Local History, and Scottish Genealogy.
