Originally published in 1914, "The Strength of the Strong" is a collection of eight short stories by American author Jack London, including the title work.
Jack London used some of these stories to advance his views on socialism and highlight the problems of the working classes. He also continued to look back with prehistoric tales, but also included The Unparalleled Invasion, which looks to the future with a Chinese invasion of the world later in the 20th century.
