Autorenporträt
Until her early adulthood Virginia Schroeder lived in and enjoyed the beauty of the Northwest. She moved to Southern California where she met her husband and they still reside. Over the years they have enjoyed traveling extensively in the U.S., Europe and the Middle East. She never forgot the beauty of her home region.

She had a long career in education. As it drew to a close, she was diagnosed with cancer, not once, but twice. Fortunately, both times it was in the early stages.

These two experiences, growing up in the Northwest and cancer diagnosis were the springboard for writing the story of "The Sun Can't Hold a Candle". Writing a novel was the fulfillment of a life-long dream. Virginia hopes this story will be found especially meaningful for those who have had cancer or anyone who has suffered with a loved one who has had cancer.
