Philip Machanick is a retired computer science academic with a range of interests such as sustainability, ethical politics, human and civil rights and education. He has published several other titles including two novels with a climate change theme (No Tomorrow and The Day it Rained Forever) and an academic text covering understanding programming from the machine up. At time of writing, resident in South Africa, he has lived in Australia and the US.
