When Becky Stokes learned that she couldn't have children, she was devastated. Doctors said corrective surgery could endanger her life and, after thumbing down several other options, she and her husband decided to use a surrogate to produce a child. After the papers were signed, however, nobody, including Becky, could have dreamed what happened next!!! A story of infidelity and just desserts!!
"A Quick, engaging read"
"A short, but sweet story about love, heartbreak, disappointment, betrayal, infidelity and sweet revenge. Yes, it's all those things wrapped up in one quick but engaging read. Becky and Wilton meet, fall I love, marry and try to conceive a child. Told by her doctor that she would never be able to bear a child, the young couple decide to use the services of a surrogate, Trixie. (With a name like Trixie you can see what's coming.) Deciding to conceive a child the old fashion way, through physical contact, Wilton and Trixie do the deed, repeatedly. Imagine her surprise, when Becky finds her husband suitcase and clothes gone. After confronting Trixie's mother she learns that Wilton and Becky ran off together. Broken-hearted Becky picks herself up and pulls her life together. But wait, there's more! Five years later Wilton returns sans Trixie who ran out on him, and is determined to get back into Becky's good graces. Things go swimmingly for Wilton and Becky embraces him once again as her husband. Unfortunately, tragedy ensues and just desserts are served. This was a short story but a definite page turner. I read this after The Duck Springs Affair and plan on reading more of John Issac Jones." Amazon reviewer
