Autorenporträt

Syd Hildebrand, a grandmother of seven, is a native New Yorker. She loves to read, play, sing and even cook with each of them. Taking turns making up stories is a favorite game they all enjoy. Someone suggests a beginning and then sitting in a circle we each continue the story one by one. Their imaginations are wonderfully inventive and always keep us all interested. Syd is a member of a senior chorus and in her spare time also performs in community theater. She looks forward to many more years teaching and learning from them all. Now in the twilight of her life she wants to spread some joy to children everywhere. She feels reading is a huge part in allowing them to experience life and to open up so many doors that otherwise would remain sealed.
