In these villages, the three little piglets offer each inhabitant, including the human who adopted them, provisions, love, and safety as other residents from their now failed used to be home find happiness, love, peace, joy, and wealth in their newfound land.

Amid her story-telling, Alexandria playfully tells of the adventures of Monty and his friends, Kiya, the grey tabby cat, Ollie, the Bombay cat, and Johnny, the ankle-biting Peek-a-poo as they wreak havoc in the large mansion next to his home as they go on delightful journeys bringing sunshine to everyone they touch.

Initially intended for children, the author, DanDan Alexandria, was inspired to write this book of short stories amidst a troubling rise in domestic violence affecting many households with young children, pets, and single parents. Alexandria explores themes of companionship and refuge, drawing attention to the struggles faced by those seeking solace in the unkind arms of the unknown and sometimes resorting to online dating services, which eventually lead them to their demise, as told about in the last collection of short stories by Alexandria, which is a particularly poignant narrative titled, "Friend of a Friend Until the Very End," where the consequences of such desperation are tragically chronicled.
