Amanda Whittington has been described as Britain's "most consistently popular female dramatist" (The Guardian). Her plays include Be My Baby, the hugely popular Ladies' Day and its sequel Ladies Down Under, Player's Angels and Satin 'n' Steel. All are published by Nick Hern Books. Other work includes adaptations of Tipping The Velvet and Saturday Night and Sunday Morning. She is currently working on an adaptation of Susie Boyt's bestseller My Judy Garland Life. Amanda writes regularly for BBC Radio 4, contributing to the Woman's Hour serial and Afternoon Play slots.
