Autorenporträt
Mei Ju-ao (Chinese: ¿¿¿, 1904-1973) was a Chinese jurist, legislator and author. After graduating from Tsinghua University in 1924, Mei Ju-ao studied in the United States and in 1926 was awarded a Bachelor of Arts from Stanford University, and elected a member of Phi Beta Kappa Society the same year. Mei went on to study law at University of Chicago Law School, where he obtained a Juris Doctor in 1928. In 1946-48, Mei was the Chinese member of the judges in the International Military Tribunal for the Far East's trials of Japanese war crimes committed during the Second World War.
