A Michigan native, Brenda Darnley Martin is the author of the Treasure-Hunt Fish picture book series, a freelance writer, talk radio host, humorist and voiceover professional. She and her husband moved to the Tampa Bay area in 1989, where she met her first flounder while working as a member of the Theater staff at the Floirda Aquarium in 1996.
