Autorenporträt

Marcia Gobourne is the author of "Sitting in the Garden", a collection of poems stemming from life observations and an appreciation of nature. Since writing her first published poem book, Marcia has continually written poems and short stories. In 2019, her passion for writing propelled her to publish another book titled "The Unexpected Family: A Collection of Short Stories". This collection of short stories are loosely based on real life events. Marcia's wants to offer her readers a different perspective on life and family in hopes of creating a more socially aware society. Marcia is a native of the Caribbean island, Jamaica, however she has called East New York home for over twenty years. She has been writing and exploring creative ways to stay keen since 1996. When she is not writing she teaching herself to play the acoustic guitar, socializing on twitter, volunteering, dancing, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
