This book addresses a common issue in our cultural reality for a long time, which is the issue of "the universality of art," with the aim of revealing its meaning and exposing the false understanding of it and the concepts associated with it, such as: "the world," "the global," "the local," etc. Therefore, although this book is full of philosophical reflections on very profound issues (as we find in great philosophers such as Schopenhauer, Hegel, and Heidegger), contemplation in it does not come from above, but rather stems from what is common in our cultural life, that is, from that basis. On which the fragile consciousness that dominates our culture is based, which must be stripped away in order to reveal the solid ground that lies beneath it and on which we can be established again. This book includes three articles of varying length and published over different times: The first article is entitled: "The Meaning of Being an International Writer or Artist," which is the least lengthy of the articles, although it is the most recent; Because I started writing it in late 2015. The author decided to place this short article at the beginning of the book as an introduction to it. Because it deals with the vivid examples raised in our cultural reality that reflect the common misunderstanding in this reality, even among many writers and the so-called cultural elite. There is no doubt that the importance of starting from concrete examples lies in the fact that they provide us with fertile and direct material for philosophical contemplation that will gradually move - throughout the chapters of this book - from the concrete and personalized to the more difficult level of philosophical abstraction.
