Sangeetha Shinde began her writing career at the age of 14 when she won first prize for her essay on world peace. She has since published four books with The Unseen Goddess being her fifth. She has a successful journalism career that has included Principal Correspondent, Contributing Editor, Publishing Director and Managing Editor for publications such as The times of India, Living Well Magazine, I Magazine, The Capital Magazine, The Business Innovator and Aspire Magazine. Her 2017 manifesto 'I am an Indian woman', went viral on the Internet and was published by Vidura, The Press Institute of India, and by Mind's Journal. She is currently Managing Director of Incubation Worldwide and Managing Editor of Inside43 Magazine.Sangeetha has been working with women and men from different parts of the world for many years, helping them overcome the trauma of abuse and oppression, having lived through the same herself. She has conducted workshops on creative writing and women's empowerment in India and spoken on women's issues at European conferences. Her work won her the award of The South Indian 'Most Inspirational Woman of the Year 2019' and a place on the Haut Monde judging panel for the Mrs India Worldwide contest, 2019. She has coached the Ethnic Queen 2022 contestants in Malaysia and lectured at the Defense Services Staff College in India in 2020. She delivered the keynote address at the Women's Day celebrations at IYTE, one of Turkey's largest universities in 2022, and addressed the University Women's Association of the Nilgiris for Women's Day, 2023. Sangeetha was a professor at IYTE teaching creative writing and spoken English in 2023. She is a passionate advocate for animal rights and injustice in all its forms. She has single-handedly rescued and rehabilitated 57 stray animals, including a Brahmini Kite, a Bulbul, three parrots, and an assortment of dogs and cats around the world. She has also volunteered and fundraised at/for animal charities in the Middle East and India. Sangeetha is currently working on several books relating to the cause of women's rights in India. She has lived and worked in 7 countries, to date. She is fascinated by the paranormal and Tudor England history, is absurdly fond of dogs, and is a die-hard Trekkie. Her ultimate aim is to leave the planet a kinder and fairer place than she entered it.
