Autorenporträt
Sydney Grundy (1848-1914) and Edward Solomon (1855-1895) were English creatives, a dramatist and a composer, prominent during the nineteenth century. Grundy initially attended Owens College where he studied law before embarking on a theatrical career. Solomon was born into a musical family where he apprenticed under his father. Some of his productions include Billee Taylor (1880), Quite an Adventure (1881) and Claude Duval (1881). Meanwhile, Grundy worked on A Little Change (1872), A Pair of Spectacles (1889) and A Village Priest (1890). Together, they famously collaborated on The Vicar of Bray (1882) and Pocahontas (1884).
