Autorenporträt
Joan Bakewell is a celebrated radio and television broadcaster. She made her television debut during the Cuban missile crisis and went on to make her name in programmes such as BBC TV's Late Night Line, Newsnight and Heart of the Matter. She was born in Stockport in 1933 and now lives in north London. She has two children and six grandchildren. Joan published her autobiography, The Centre of the Bed, in 2003. Belief, which Joan edited, was published in 2005 (Duckworth) to accompany the Radio 4 series of the same name. Joan lives in London. .
