Autorenporträt

I'm a native Portlander, who didn't appreciate my home town until I left to live elsewhere for a few years (as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Belize, Central America). I am semi-retired, working part-time as a Senior Capstone Instructor for Portland State University. I live in SE Portland, not far from where I grew up. I raised my kids mostly as a single parent. I enjoy spending time with my big dog, and working in my never-finished garden, and writing. I write nonfiction, mostly about my own experiences.
