Her journeys take her to Europe and back to England. She finds a measure of happiness with the canal folk in Yorkshire, but tragedy strikes and she heads for London, determined to find out what happened to Charles.

Autorenporträt

Caroline Harris lives in East Sussex, England and is married to a retired forensic detective. A mature mother of three adult children, she has had a varied career, including more than 30 years in the world of Travel. During this time she wrote a regular travel column and also articles for magazines connected with vintage cars (one of her many hobbies). After taking a course, she joined a local writers group and concentrated on finishing her novel The Wave Queen. Inspired by the1872 diary written by a ship's cook, a will and an early US naturalisation paper which she inherited, Caroline wrote The Wave Queen as a historical novel based on fact.

She is now busy working on her next book in the series.
