Kayretta Stokes is a native of Jackson, MS, where she resided for twenty-two years before moving to Knoxville in 2001. She is the youngest of three children born to Melvin Stokes and Sarita "Faye" Dyson Stokes. Kayretta attended CM & I College, and upon completion, she decided to further her academic career by attending the University of Phoenix, where she obtained her associate's degree in administration.
