The main character, Eve, a woman past 30, leads a usual life with her husband and her daughter. The husband cheats on her, she knows it and tolerates it. Then, out of revenge, she starts to betray him but, however, she is unable to find happiness. The story starts with her husband's crash accident. She is just home from her lover's place when she learns about the accident. Her husband goes into a coma and Eve's life turns upside down. She often visits him in the hospital and talks to him about her pain and the feelings she's had over the years; at first she does it with accusations but then ends in a shocking and unexpected confession. Eve has a mother who has broken all her dreams with not having faith in her. The mother loves her of course but she has never said a loving or appreciating word to her and has never been proud of her daughter. In the course of the story Eve goes through an internal transformation. Her conversation with her teenage daughter plays an essential role in the story. The daughter asks her questions that are not at all random, Eve gives answers to them and while doing so discovers many universal truths for herself. This is a story in which every woman, while reading it, will find herself and her own story and get answers to her questions. And this is a story at the end of which every reader will clearly understand why his/her life is as it is and what they have to do to become happy and successful.
