Autorenporträt
BUFFY BRINKLEY fell in love with words at a very young age. She was independently reading children's books before she entered kindergarten, and by the time she entered second grade, she was reading full-length classic novels, including The Count of Monte Cristo. Her love of reading sparked a love of writing. She wrote her first poem at the age of 8, and into her adolescence and young adulthood, she wrote numerous poems and short stories, several of which won poetry and writing contests at the high school level. As an adult, she has continued to apply her imagination into writing poetry, children's books, short stories, short novels, and full-length novels that span the genres. Her love of writing is matched only by her love of family, writing recipes and the culinary arts. She lives in Central City, Louisiana, where she spends time developing new story ideas, creating recipes, cooking, and running after her two mischievously intelligent dogs.
