As a type of Christ, Joseph - the central figure in this inspired biography - reflects images of pre-mortal prophecies, mortal preparations, mankind's ascension to glory, and the deliverance and inheritance prepared by the Savior for those who receive the blessings of our Eternal Father's patriarchal order. Joseph's house becomes an instructive paradigm to help us comprehend and apply context to the mysteries revealed in the House of the Lord. Symbols embedded in the text of Joseph's biblical record also foreshadow the events of the latter-day restoration, and the men who led it. This study provides the reader with both evidence and argument that the mysteries of salvation are amply written into the inspired text of the record of the patriarchs as published in the Old Testament.
