Prior to his current role, he served in executive roles at Evangel University and Xerox Corporation. As a pastor, he sees the transformative power of the word of God in everyday life. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Debbie, and has two married children and four grandchildren. He lives in Ozark, Missouri.
