Geboren wurde Frank Oberon 1955 in der kleinbürgerlichen Kreisstadt Rosenheim. Seit seinem Studium der Kybernetik mit Nebenfach Numerik lebt er in München, mittlerweile 50 Jahre. Stolz bezeichnet er sich deshalb als Münchner. Der Autor ist verheiratet, hat eine Tochter und zwei Brüder.
