The short story form allows a writer to cover a diverse range of situations and characters. All of these stories are authentic, based on happenings in real life. John has had correspondence with a wide range of people, mainly women, in the past five years. He remains in awe of what his correspondents have told him about their sex lives. In some stories, he has drawn together for literary purposes events volunteered by various people. John has a lovely wife (they started kindergarten together and fell in love at high school). They have three children and, to this point, five grandchildren. His wife is also in retirement from professional life. She is an accomplished artist. They live in a bayside village in Victoria, Australia. They have travelled extensively overseas, including eight trips to Boston so far. Their interests include cinema, theatre, cooking, reading, gardening, and hosting imaginative parties and dinner parties.

Autorenporträt

John Boase is in retirement from a professional career. He has a master's degree. He has published a book of 1,200 erotic sonnets (Erotic Muse-Sonnets about Sex). In 2003, he was a guest fringe presenter at the Guardian Literary Festival in Hay-on-Wye, Wales, doing readings of his sonnets. John has had a lifelong fascination with human sexuality and sexual attraction. He firmly believes that we are as we are according to how we come to terms with our sex drive. A lot of his work is written from a female perspective. Many times he's been accused of being a woman masquerading as a man! He's also written a play: 'A Full and Frank Account of the Sex Life of Debra Gordon as told by Deb Herself.' At the time of writing, it has proved too graphic (and realistic?) for two theatre companies despite having been approved by three female proofreaders. He continues to live in hope for 'Deb' and has plans to write a second play. John's primary motivation is to celebrate the joys and wonders of sex. He offers his stories in that spirit.
