Produktbeschreibung
Mental health disorders are very serious medical conditions which can lead to great harm for individuals, families, and whole communities if ignored or left untreated. After 35+ years of experience in private practice as a clinician in the field of psychiatry, Dr. Gul shares with readers many of her cases where psychiatric intervention has led to happy outcomes by resolving the symptoms patients were experiencing, thus leading to enhanced quality of life. She discusses some common psychiatric disorders, how the patients presented in her clinic, and how they were diagnosed and treated. She also shares her opinion of the current state of the mental healthcare system.

With this book Dr. Gul wishes to convey that there is always hope, even when a person is immersed in the depth of depression, a paralysis of anxiety, or the total loss of self in psychosis. Advances in the field of psychiatry have made it possible to safely and effectively treat many of these disorders, so there truly is hope for anyone to improve their mental health and live a more productive life.
