Autorenporträt
The Voices of Children Charitable Foundation was officially established by Azad Safarov, the film's assistant director and line producer, and Olena Rozvadovska, a human rights activist, during the filming of the documentary A House Made of Splinters, winner of the Sundance best director award for World Cinema Documentary, the Golden Alexander Award for best film, and the FIPRESCI Award of the Thessaloniki Documentary Festival, and which was nominated for the 95th Academy Awards. Previously, the Foundation's team worked as volunteers, and since 2015, have been providing psychological support for children affected by combat actions in Ukraine. Thanks to charitable contributions, the Voices of Children Charitable Foundation provides psychological support and individual humanitarian aid to families and works with communities and institutions for children throughout the country's main areas, providing psychosocial support, humanitarian aid, and child rights advocacy. Since the outbreak of the full-scale war in Ukraine in 2022, the Foundation has significantly scaled up its activities. It has helped more than 4,500 children to receive professional psychological support and provided humanitarian aid to more than 13,000 families. Today, more than 60 psychologists, psychiatrists, and therapists are working to ensure that Ukrainian children do not lose their childhood and their smiles.
