RAYMOND BENSON. NOTE: Raymond's titles can be found here under his own name, and also under Crossroad Press! The author of over forty titles, Raymond is best known as the third--and first American--author to be commissioned to pen official James Bond continuation novels (1996-2002). In total he penned and published worldwide six original 007 novels, three film novelizations, and three short stories. An anthology of his 007 work, THE UNION TRILOGY, was published in 2008, and a second anthology, CHOICE OF WEAPONS, in 2010, and an e-book omnibus of his six original 007 novels, JAMES BOND: THE RAYMOND BENSON YEARS is now available. His book THE JAMES BOND BEDSIDE COMPANION, an encyclopedic work on the 007 phenomenon, was first published in 1984 and was nominated for an Edgar Allan Poe Award by Mystery Writers of America for Best Biographical/Critical Work. Raymond's acclaimed 5-book serial, THE BLACK STILETTO, began in 2011. THE BLACK STILETTO: THE COMPLETE SAGA, an e-book omnibus of the entire story, was published in 2015. Recent novels include THE MAD, MAD MURDERS OF MARIGOLD WAY; HOTEL DESTINY: A GHOST NOIR; BLUES IN THE DARK; IN THE HUSH OF THE NIGHT; and THE SECRETS ON CHICORY LANE. Raymond is an active member of International Thriller Writers Inc., Mystery Writers of America, the International Association of Media Tie-In Writers, a full member of ASCAP, and served on the Board of Directors of The Ian Fleming Foundation of sixteen years.
