"Timber Town Tales" is a gathering of interesting snippets from a number of mostly Pre-World War II sources consisting of books, newspapers, photographs, and the author's personal life experiences. The title was carefully chosen. Because most of the story lines were taken from secondary sources where features described in two or more accounts of a happening were occasionally though rarely in conflict with each other, one might find it inappropriate to include the term "history" in the title. The reader will, however, gain a sense of the Cadillac area culture as well as a general picture of the remarkable number and the high quality of accomplishments during its first 75 years of existence. A wilderness was tamed and an industrial powerhouse emerged that attracted the attention of a nation. All profits from the sale of this book will be donated to the Wexford County Historical Society Museum.
