I am working to break down the stigma of mental illness. We are people with feelings. We are people with dreams. And we have suffered this pain that people can't share with us or understand and have been mocked as if we were ghosts. This book tries to bridge the gap between the mentally ill and the rest of the people on the planet not labeled mentally ill. This book is fearless, unafraid to look at the author and others who help or hinder the journey to healing. But, ultimately, it is a story of healing and hope and that is essential. Find comfort you are not alone. Most of the stories in this book were published elsewhere. May God bless you on your journey.

Carroll Ann Susco holds an MFA in fiction from the University of Pittsburgh and has a chapbook, Bean Spiller, on Variant Literature press and numerous publications, including in The Sun Magazine, Cutbank and Painted Bride Quarterly. Her books are available below: Love Attempts and Stigmata and Other Essays. She likes to teach and tutor, read and watch a good movie. And do stuff. Like go to a wine bar :)
