Louis Felice is a professional Paramedic, Louis started his career going to a community college and earning his EMT certification in 1991. He volunteered as an EMT for nine years until he was hired by the New York City Fire Department. There he worked as an EMT until 2001 when he then earned his Paramedic certification at a NYC college and was promoted to an FDNY Paramedic September 2001. His first call as a Paramedic was to the 9/11 World Trade Center Terrorist attack, his career continued to the present time as a Paramedic. Within this thirty-oneyear career he has worked in four states (NY, North Carolina, South Carolina and Florida), he has received numerous awards for his life saving efforts as the lead pre-hospital care provider. During this time, he had also implemented and organized a Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement program in his fire department and soon afterwards created a ten-person QA/QI committee. He had also been called upon to implement and create an Advanced Life Support program for Paramedic's to use in the treatment of their patients in the field.
Later in his career, he started to have the drive to teach. He took classes that were offered by the County and State and in 2014 he became a Clinical Lab Instructor for the college he receive his Paramedic certification at. About two years later, he again took classes to become a Certified Instructor Coordinator and was able to teach lectures, not just lab instruction.
In 2016 he went back to school and in 2018 he earned a bachelor's degree in Emergency management. He then enrolled in a dual master's degree at the same college and in 2021 he graduated with a Master's of Science degree (MS) in Leadership and a Master's degree in
Business Administration (MBA). After a few years of lecturing, he decided to venture into Nursing school, but during his information gathering venture, he was approached by the college about an open position as the Director of their Paramedic Program. His career plans had changed at that point, and he started to teach and run a Paramedic program. Presently, he has stepped down from the Director roll to concentrate on building his business, working as a Paramedic at a level I trauma center in the Emergency room and studying for his Doctorate degree in Education, he is also teaching a Paramedic program as the Lead Instructor.
