Autorenporträt

Elizabeth McEldowney Conard grew up in India at a time when tigers roamed near her home in the jungle and school in the Himalayan mountains. She heard many stories of olden day hunts and today is happy that "Save the Tiger" is a national effort. She attended college in the United States and has taught in middle schools and high schools. Elizabeth chose to live in Florida where she and her husband have raised three children. Now she tells her grandchildren stories of the days when she rode elephants to see numerous Indian animals in the wild.
