Dr. Steele holds a BS degree, a Master's degree, an Education Specialist degree, an Administration certification, a Reading Specialist Certification, a Dyslexia certification, and a Ph.D. in Reading & Literacy. She describes herself as a lifelong learner. Dr. Steele is employed as Full Professor of Education and Reading Specialist at Athens State University. She is the founder of SteeleJoy, LLC. and a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Not only is Dr. Steele a creative writer, she is also an outstanding motivational speaker. Dr. Steele has accomplished many things, but she says her greatest accomplishment is her son, Jordan.
