She was performing to audiences at ten year old and singing all over West Yorkshire. She was called Judy Garland of the north. Born in 1935 she was ten when the war years ended and it was a time for holidays at home and entertainment for everyone. Parks opened and the stages were set. She was quite well known around the area and had followers who always came to hear her sing. She was taught ballet and tap dancing which became useful when she joined a professional show at fifteen year old. During her time in the theatre she also did some stunt work with a partner, taking it to outside arenas. Speedway with motor bikes was very popular and they too did special tricks with their bikes including, The Wall of Fire. She is the second eldest from a family of ten, with a brother older than herself. Eight of the family are still very close, the two missing have sadly passed on. She is a mother of six a Grandmother and Great grandmother to eight, with twins on the way. Enjoys dancing, drama, writing, animals and gardening. Children included too as they are entertainment.
