This novel was written as a Flan O'Brien or Terry Pratchett for preteens - of all ages. The personalities of the kids are more akin to the characters in Golding's 'Lord of the Flies' than the genteel children of 'Harry Potter' or Enid Blyton books. The events of TOX O'Sé are set in the early 2000s.
