Autorenporträt
Antje Donkels wurde 1960 in Havelberg, in der ehemaligen DDR, geboren. Nach der Schulausbildung absolviert sie eine Schneiderlehre ¿ die Voraussetzung für ein Designstudium. Ihr Berufswunsch scheitert allerdings, als sie sich weigert, in die SED einzutreten. Daraufhin macht sie das Abitur, um Rechtswissenschaften zu studieren, was jedoch ebenfalls aufgrund ihrer Einstellung zum System scheitert. Ihren Abschluss erlangt Sie nach dem Studium der Volkswirtschaftslehre an der Hochschule für Ökonomie in Berlin. Danach arbeitet sie einige Jahre für eine Handelsfirma in Leipzig. Nach dem Mauerfall zieht sie ins Rheinland und arbeitet bis 2020 in leitender Funktion in einem deutschen Konzern. Antje Donkels hat zwei erwachsene Kinder und lebt mit ihrem Mann in Düsseldorf. Ihre Hobbys sind Geschichte, Literatur, Reisen und die Ölmalerei.
