We must look back to the places, memories, hurts, victories, and fears that history has shown us if we are to move forward positively and embrace who we are with purpose and intention.

Rita Sparrow was born in Detroit, Michigan, and was raised in a large Catholic family. After graduation, she entered Eastern Michigan University. Eventually, she received an undergraduate degree in nursing from Auburn University at Montgomery in Montgomery, AL, and a master's degree in nursing from Troy University in Troy, AL. Rita has two daughters. Uzi Miera Ya'akova was born in Detroit, Michigan, and is a born-again Christian. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing management from the University of Detroit and a master's degree in computer science. She has worked in information systems for IBM and the Chrysler Corporation. Ya'akova is a mother of a daughter and son.
