Eileen P. Duggan is a freelance journalist, writer and editor based in St. Louis, Missouri.

Her third novel, TOUCH, was published Sept. 1, 2022. The young adult magical realism novel tells the story of a 15-year-old girl who touches the photo of a mysterious woman and suddenly finds herself able to play piano. She sets out to find out why without freaking out her widowed mother. She enlists the aid of her math-whiz best friend and her unwitting new boyfriend to learn how she can play piano, do complicated mathematics, exercise photographic recall and perform other uninvited skills. Her second novel, APRIL FOOLS DAILY, published Oct. 1, 2021, chronicles the life of a shy rock singer as she struggles to succeed in life, career and love over the obstacle of her less-than-stunning looks. The saga traces the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s world of the St. Louis music scene from the vantage point of a fan and aspiring musician.
