Marion D. Woods, a former farm girl, weaves together the compelling tale of Uncle Jerdon's Farm. Born on a farm in North Carolina, Marion uses her keen insight and wit to bring together the magic of history and the timeless tranquility of many of the activities that Leann enjoys on the farm. Prior to becoming a writer, Marion owned a beauty salon for more than twenty years. After receiving her associate in applied science degree, she taught cosmetology for fifteen years. She enjoys working with children, listening to music, crocheting, and participating in many church activities such as singing in the church choir.
