I am an avid collector and lover of children's books. I am now sharing the books I collected for my children with my grandchildren. The arrival of my grandchildren inspired me to fulfill my dream of becoming a writer. It rekindled that love I had of children's books. I was forced into early retirement in 2014 and decided that it was a sign that I should make my dream a reality. We got our first dachshund in 2001, and I immediately fell in love with the breed. One year later, we added our second dachshund to the family. Their personalities were so unique and hilarious I just had to base my characters on them. In my Doxie Tale Adventure series, I try to bring something personal to each and every story. Whether it's a memory from my own childhood, from raising my children, or now, even something hilarious my grandchildren have said or done, I try to weave these memories into my stories. I have lived and worked in Bement, Illinois, since 1967. My husband was born and raised here, and many years ago, we bought his childhood home. We raised our two kids here, and our two grandkids consider this their second home. I am truly blessed to come from a small town and have the love and support of so many friends and family.
