Many people questioned Zeus's loyalty to the Maleehgoot before he became a Zahr, but now that he was their leader, observers couldn't speak of his reputation so loosely like they once had. Zeus often made proud remarks that none could defeat him in battle or in looks. Such statements made the citizens of Mount Olympus nervous, but they never dared to ask him to stop proclaiming his alpha authority in fear that he would flay them as punishment for disagreeing with his claims. Unlike most Zahrs of the past who reigned over Mount Olympus, Zeus did not have a previous political or military career that would contribute to his overseer position whatsoever. Zeus served his community because it is expected of him as a Zahr-not because he enjoyed doing it. Being in charge of an entire Clemall did come with perks, such as the women Zeus could summon to his private chambers when he felt like it. Eventually, though the sex got boring and Zeus began to grow weary of listening to the complaints of his subjects in court. They had issues, he had the power to fix them, but rarely went out to make a public appearance and assure his subjects he was working on their cases. This prolonged neglect of the Zahr made the citizens distrust him even more. The way they saw it, if a leader refuses to come out and bond with his or her community and work towards fixing problems, then that leader isn't a real leader. This should have bothered Zeus and made him want to do better as the Zahr, but it did the opposite. He was thrilled his subjects were detached from his heart. It made his life so much easier to pursue his not so... orthodox activities when he wasn't required to be a saint.
