Autorenporträt
Brigadier General Saleem Ahmad Khan (Retired) earned his PhD from the University of New Brunswick, Canada and became a historian. His other academic credentials are Masters of Philosophy, Strategy & Development Studies, War Studies and Defence Studies. He obtained Bachelor of Technology from the Jawaharlal Nehru University, India. He has wide range of experience in Bangladesh army including international peacekeeping experience. He authored three books, one chapter of a book and several articles. He is a Community of Expert of Pearson Peacekeeping Centre Canada, and a member of the Academic Council on the United Nations System. The author facilitated seminars on UN Peace Operations organized by Canadian Defence Academy in Uruguay, Indonesia, and the US. He presented conference papers at the Dalhousie University and University of New Brunswick in Canada, Central Michigan University and University of Maine in the US. He established a telecommunication and Information Technology firm "Trust Innovation Ltd" under the Bangladesh Army Welfare Trust and was its founder managing director. The author's academic awards are first prize in oral presentation, Graduate Research Conference, University of New Brunswick, Canada; Milton Gregg United Nations Internship Award; Henry Harvey Stuart Research Award; President's Doctoral Tuition Award; Second Best thesis in Master of War Studies, and one of the best theses in Master of Defence Studies.
