When her house blows up seconds after she steps into the back yard, and since no one knows she's still alive, she decides to run. She has no family except for an Uncle who works in Saudi Arabia, and since her parent's death, she hasn't been able to contact him.

Her plan to avoid people falls through when she meets her new neighbor, Jake Johnston. He's handsome and trustworthy and he makes her feel safe. At least safer than she feels when she's alone. Of course the little things that have begun happening in Fredericton are just accidents. No one could have possibly found her yet Could they?

The worst part is, the way things are happening it looks like she's hurting herself. Will anyone believe the truth? Will Jake?
