Having a prince in your realm for a best friend as a child had its perks, and you were never in trouble for long when plans went a little sideways. Growing up and becoming the Royal Guard for that friend had fewer advantagesunless that prince was the wild, unpredictable rebel that Bastian was.

Having a prince in your realm for a best friend as a child had its perks, and you were never in trouble for long when plans went a little sideways. Growing up and becoming the Royal Guard for that friend had fewer advantagesunless that prince was the wild, unpredictable rebel that Bastian was.

They'd had a few centuries in their time together that had a dull decade here and there, but every other second was always a hanging-by-a-thread adventure. The constant motion had Tor programmed for action now, and he discovered he didn't idle any better than his friend did.

With free time on his hands now that Bastian was finally with his long-awaited other, Tor volunteered to help the Alterealm Royals work in other realms as they hunted down the morons responsible for the idiotic plan that would end all realms. There wasn't anything left to surprise him after being dragged into things with the prince, so he knew he was prepared for everything they encountered.

Soren was tired of teaching the teens how to use their birthright. It wasn't that she didn't find it rewarding to see the excitement on their young faces. She loved that part. She was fed up with being the King's best-kept secret. Her half-brother was a privileged prince and could do anything, anytime he wanted.

She didn't care about recognition, the over-stuffed throne, or even that her last name was not her father'sall she wanted was to experience something new and to feel useful.

6 worlds work together to save each other.
J. Risk's Realms Books span 6 different series with common characters and an ongoing, suspense-filled plot.

Autorenporträt
J. Risk is a pseudonym used by Jacqueline Paige

I wanted to write a story that would fit into new adult levels as well as adult. Something that was serious with fun elements--paranormal / fantasy that everyone could read and enjoy.

I've decided to use J. Risk as the pen name for this to separate this series from my other writing which is definitely adult reading material.

Jacqueline Paige lives in Ontario in a small town that's part of the popular Georgian Triangle area.

She began her writing career in 2006 and since her first published works in 2009 she hasn't stopped. Jacqueline describes her writing as all things paranormal, which she has proven is her niche with stories of witches, ghosts, physics and shifters now on the shelves.

When Jacqueline isn't lost in her writing, she spends time with her five children, most of whom are finally able to look after her instead of the other way around. Together they do random road trips, that usually end up with them lost, shopping trips where they push every button in the toy aisle, hiking when there's enough time to escape and bizarre things like creating new daring recipes in the kitchen. She's a grandmother to seven (so far) and looks forward to corrupting many more in the years to come.

Jacqueline loves to hear from her readers, you can find her at
