How does disruption of classes arise and how can it be managed effectively? Teachers work under pressure and often act less rationally than is commonly assumed. This may mean that problems are not resolved by poor attempts to cope, but are instead further aggravated. Class disruptions have an unfavourable effect on teachers= health, on the quality of teaching and on students= motivation and achievement. This book presents ways for teachers to effectively prevent classroom disturbances through diagnostic skills, good teacher&pupil relationships, adaptive classroom management and good teaching.
