She is a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and a Licensed Professional Counselor. She holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from Abilene Christian University and is the author of the innovative book, Splankna. She lives in Colorado with her husband Jon and three children. Heather Hughes is a private practitioner, speaker and Certified Life Coach. She is a developer and assistant director of the Splankna Therapy Institute. She lives in Colorado with her husband Joe and four children.
