The philosophy of history passed through stages; History in the Middle Ages was in the hands of theologians a picture of the history of the world and man that was consistent with divine authorship. Theologians did not need much to look at the actual experiences of nations. In the eighteenth century, it was a tool for the purposes of philosophers. From the beginning of the nineteenth century, the transcendent ideal was achieved, and in our present era it is nothing but history, the designation of a system for the succession of things in time. History, in addition to being a stand-alone subject, is also a method of research. They chronicle languages, literature, social systems, laws, sciences, mathematics, economics, and even love and play.
